The Little Green Pantry – Lamberhurst, Tunbridge Wells

During the pandemic, Lamberhurst palliative care nurses Vicki and Roo, became concerned about the deteriorating mental health of residents who struggled with isolation. Surrounded by a wealth of wonderful local produce and crafts, the pair had always dreamed of opening a farm shop, and now imagined that this could incorporate a space the community could use to host and enjoy workshops and social events.

Vicki and Roo needed a brand identity that they would use on their printed collateral, aprons and on social media for the new venture, which they named the Little Green Pantry. BCD created the yew sprig illustration by hand, to convey the pastoral honesty of the business and as a nod to the ancient yew tree that dominates the village church yard.

The grand opening in August 2021 was promoted on social media and printed flyers. The event attracted 100s of eager shoppers from the area. Since then the brand has become emblematic of this bustling shop and inviting event space, at the heart of village life.

“We needed our identity to reflect a rustic, honest enterprise with a strong local connection. BCD’s branding package enables our community to engage with us effectively via social media and our shop signage is instantly memorable to visitors.”
